With the amendment of the Radiation Protection Legislation 2018, since 2019 authorities have been able to designate radiation protection experts also in the area of exposure to Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM).

Brenk Systemplanung GmbH has recently been designated as an expert for the examination of workplaces with exposure to naturally occurring radioactivity in accordance with Section 172, Paragraph 1, Sentence 1, No. 2 StrlSchG. With the decision of the district government of Cologne, five colleagues were also appointed to act as official “inspectors” (so to speak as experts).

We are proud that our great professionalism and high level of experience in the field of NORM, which we have built up over decades in the service of our clients, are now being recognised in this way.
