Changes in the management of the Commercial Administration and Controlling business unit – Walter Jörres hands over the baton to Alexander Schmidt

  • 16. November 2022

After 29 years of working for Brenk Systemplanung (BS) and a total of 48 professional years, our long-time head of the KV division, Walter Jörres, will retire at the end of 2022. During his years with BS, Walter Jörres played a significant role in the successful development of the company, first as a business consultant, then as a member of the management team and as a shareholder.

After extensive induction, Walter Jörres has now handed over the management of the Commercial Administration and Controlling division to his successor, Mr. Alexander Schmidt, as planned on October 1, 2022. We are pleased that Walter Jörres will remain with BS until his retirement on January 1, 2023, and that we will continue to benefit from his proven expertise and many years of experience. We would like to thank him for his many years of extremely valuable support and wish him all the best for the next phase of his life, but above all we would like to take this opportunity to express our special thanks to him.

With Dipl.-Wjur. (FH) Alexander Schmidt, MBA, a new, very experienced expert will now take over the future tasks of managing the business unit. Alexander Schmidt studied business law at the Rheinische Fachhochschule in Cologne, where he graduated in 2007 as a Diplom-Wirtschaftsjurist (FH). He gained his first professional experience after graduation at KPMG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Cologne. Subsequent professional positions included an owner-managed medium-sized trading company, a major multinational corporation in the automotive supply industry and a highly specialized mechanical engineering company in the food processing industry. While working, Alexander Schmidt completed a degree in “International Business” at the University of East London in the UK, focusing in particular on management theories and “International Human Resources Management”. He completed his studies in 2016 with distinction as a “Master of Business Administration”. We look forward to the coming years together and to continuing to develop BS successfully with Mr. Schmidt.
